Brother Saturn, EST: 2013

[Ambient, Post Rock, Live Looping, neo Classical Music]

Brother Saturn has been making music publicly since 2013. His origin story starts when he was a young boy. Brother Saturn, otherwise known as Drew Miller, was classically trained on the piano for almost 15 years growing up in the small suburbs of Littleton, Colorado. The vast mountains, and greenery and scenic views, have always been inspiring for his music over the years. In middle school, he discovered a love for all things space travel, and aeronautics and science relating to chemistry and physics. That is truly where his idea for the atmospherics in his music, came to be.

Once he began high school, Drew taught himself guitar after taking lessons for about a year, and the rest is history.

At a young age Drew grew up listening to all kinds of music. The following list includes, (but is not limited to) classical, ambient, heavy metal, grunge, pop, and punk music. All of that led to his discovery of Post Rock, and Prog , as well as other adjacent genres, like Electronic, Downtempo, Krautrock, and more.

Artists like Stars Of The Lid, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Brian Eno, The Album Leaf, Andrew Bird, Sigur Ros, and Robert Fripp, all had a hand in influencing his work over the years.

In 2013, a friend and confidant motivated him to upload his "looped" sound pieces, to the internet, and that's how the story began.
